Where We Serve

We use our time, talent, and money to love and
serve the world in the name of Jesus Christ.

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me” (Matthew 25:35).

We believe that giving and service are natural outpourings of the love and grace that Jesus Christ has shown to us. We seek to love and serve our neighbors through ministries within our congregation, in our community, and nationally and internationally.

In Our Church

Many folks (of all ages!) within our congregation serve their brothers and sisters in Christ by providing childcare, doing building maintenance, leading worship, teaching Sunday School, and in many other ways! If you’re interested in learning more about how you can serve within our church, we encourage you to visit our ministry teams page and contact the church office.

In Our Community

During the school year, The Mix at NCC, meets every Wednesday. It’s an opportunity for students from within our community to come together for a meal, fellowship, teaching, and fun with our church family! We “mix” it up on Wednesdays, with all ages and backgrounds welcome, because we’re better together!

We also partner with Pleasant Hill Elementary School every year to provide weekend food backpacks for students experiencing food insecurity through the NOURISH Program and to provide winter coats and other necessities to students who need them.

Through our Faith Promise giving and collection drives, we are also able to support the Women’s Resource Center, FISH Food Pantry, and the Family Crisis Shelter within the Montgomery County community.

Globally

Through our Faith Promise giving, we support two international Christian outreach organizations: Love At Work in Costa Rica and Tom and Susan Stiles (One Mission Society) in Ecuador.

We also try to gain first-hand understanding of the needs of national and international missions organizations through missions experience trips. We plan these family-based trips based on congregational interest; in the last several years, we have had trips to Appalachia, Costa Rica, and Michigan.
